Thanks I could toss you a link to the server, unless you'd rather just have my discord un, though admittedly it's almost 5am now and I'm starting to get the sleepies.

>>41456513OCs are fun, and you can change them around whenever you feel like. Just do what you think is fun. I wouldn't worry too much about art, unless you have a really specific design in mind. Back in the day, when people who couldn't draw made OCs, they'd use dreamselfy as it's one of the better dollmakers. Pretty cutesy-anime, admittedly, but it has a lot of choice, even if the female options outnumber the males. I remember making a few good looking guys. At the very least, it helps having a visual ref if you end up getting a commission, though you could also just look up fashion and slap together an outfit + hairstyle, then list details like body type and height or something.
And yeah, I get that, too. This'll make someone laugh, but I've honestly found tumblr rp to be pretty decent. SWSH brought it back from the grave fairly well in the pokemon scene, but the big pain in the ass is you have to make a fancy looking theme and format your replies and shit. I've looked for discord servers to rp in too, and I honestly have the exact same issues. I just want a small and comfy one, but that isn't very likely to happen at all. I've heard good things about twitter RP from some friends, but from what I've seen it's a lot of horniness and not much else.
>>41456592Flowery language is overrated and it doesn't flow well unless you put more thought into the whole sentence. But being boring doesn't depend on your language, it depends on what you write -- try to keep the flow of the scene, and don't have your character just be pasive (ie only answer questions). Let them comment, or ask their own questions, unless that's OOC. Still, give your partner something to react to, even if it's just a small action.
