However, what with the introduction of "Items that allow super forms for pokemon but only one per team", its not so farfetched to have a pokemon that in someway is "double" typed.
It could be an ability, at least; A pure Fire pokemon, with the ability "immolate", which doubles all its type matchups, including its STAB Fire moves. A volatile pokemon, incredible firepower but one Water, Ground or Rock move and its out.
