>>36556036>Vicegrip StuffFor my hack I was making Vicegrip a rock-type move because of its crushing power, particularly used by the likes of Pinsir on other, smaller Bugs. One problem with making Vicegrip your bread and butter bug move is that it's pretty much just on Pinsir and Kingler, so you'll want at least one more. Changing Cut's type is pretty popular, and I'd say making it Bug makes a lot more sense than making it Grass. Buff Pin Missile until you think Jolteon would actually want to use it. Buff Leech Life (the go-to Bug Move of Golbat, Parasect, and Venomoth) to at least Mega Drain's 40 base. Needless to say you might want to consider buffing Mega Drain a little if you're buffing Fighting moves.
>Ghost StuffBumping Lick's power way the hell up would be a good start, but the thing about Ghosts being a counter to Psychics in gen 1 is... there's literally just one of them. You have the right idea tackling this at both ends, and bugs resisting Psychic makes a lot of Bug/Poisons pretty happy. Dream Eater would be a reasonable pick for a Ghost Type conversion, but make sure you swap Ghost Type to Special Damage so the likes of Hypno and Gengar actually want to keep using it.
>build reinterpretationGood. Too many hacks are too chickenshit to rebalance Pokemon in a significant way, and your Dewgong idea is good enough for me to have put a note in my google doc to steal it.
>Fire BlastAny chance you're going to do the same for the likes of Hydro Pump or Thunder?
