I miss being able to enjoy fanfiction. I miss finding new stories with blatant wish fulfillment, Gary Stu protagonists, terribly written romance, countless grammatical errors, and not caring (or even noticing) because they were fresh and exciting. Now all I do is nitpick whatever flaws I can find, roll my eyes, and hit backspace after reading a paragraph or two. I need to find a new fanfic that can recapture the magic of being a wide-eyed teenager absolutely smitten with the idea of fanfiction and its endless possibilities. I need something to rescue me from this literary anhedonia.
