Okay so, here I am, I started up Pokemon X, knew from the first leaks that I was going with Fennekin. Design was cool, and the only gen I didn't start with the Fire starter was Diamond/Pearl because Empoleon seemed more badass.
So I do that, and hey guess what, Torchic is a Mystery Gift giveaway? Sweet, I loved Blaziken, fucker got no love because everyone I knew went Swampert, fantastic.
Then, Professor what'shisface is like "Hey, choose a Gen 1 starter!" and I know for balance I really -should- choose Squirtle, but how the hell could I pass up the chance for Charizard? No one I know has the game yet, who knows when I'll be able to trade, let me get my fuckin' Charmander now.
So here I am, not even an hour into the game, and my team consists of nothing but Fire starters. I'd love to have some Typhlosion up in this bitch, but hey, we'll see what happens. How am I supposed to choose between them? I decide to stick with Fennekin and box the other two, because they've had their day in the past, time to go with some new goodness.
My team is Fennekin, Pidgey, and Ralts.
I decide my team doesn't have enough Gen6 in it, so I box pidgey and swap it with Fletchling.
Fast forward a little, my Ralts is a little behind, My Fennekin evolved and is kicking ass, and my Fletchling evolves into Fletchinder, a Fire/Flying.
I'm up to my forehead in fire types, should I just fuck team balance entirely and run through this game with a fire-only team?
tl;dr: first fennekin, then torchic, then charmander, now fletchinder, wtf firetypes all up in this bitch
