Galar is arguably the region took the most creative liberty in changing and re-imagining the region compared to it's real world counterpart in the entire 23 year span of the franchise, and OP is choosing NOW to bitch about the Pokemon world being too similar to the real world? The only other region was comparable creative liberty is probably Unova.
You do know Kanto was literally just Kanto right? The Pokemon series has been getting MORE unique with its own layout and geography over the years, not less.
