The only way it would be canon is if Goh actually said he liked Ash (and not in the platonic sense) or if Goh kissed him. I love this ship to death, but at no point did I ever think it would be canon. The point of my post that you replied to was that people hating Goh's character because they perceive him to be gay isn't fair because canonically, Goh's sexuality isn't stated (which is how I should've worded my post, now that I think about it, so my mistake).
