I lived in Snowbelle City, Kalos. Both of my parents worked week-long jobs at the Poké Ball Factory, often collapsing right into their bed when they got home, so I ended spending a lot of time on my lonesome. We didn't have a lot of money, only paychecks from my parents' work and occasional tips from my volunteer work at the Gym, but I enjoyed my life.
For my tenth birthday (sry4cliche), my father took a few Poké Balls from work and tried to catch me the best Pokémon he could find. I remember him coming home that evening with bare feet, muddy trousers, and the most joyful, toothy grin I'd ever seen anyone muster.
>I got you the best Pokémon I could find! It's a liquid-y Pokémon, so it'll have a great time in the snow! I mean, isn't snow just very, very cold water?>For one, no, it's not. And Dragon-types don't like the cold! He's not gonna last long here...But Goomy did fantastically! He and I understood each other without a problem, and the snow became his home after a few days. He never once had the courage to battle an Ice-type, though.
A year later, my mother, who had recently earned a degree in the construction industry, found a job in the Unova region. We packed our belongings and moved to Opelucid City, a high-tech city over there. With all these buildings and smooth roads, I could see why construction workers were in demand. My Gym volunteer work continued at the Opelucid Gym, which loved spending time with Goomy. Our family made a lot more money, and after my parents saved the needed funds, I began a Unova Pokémon journey! I got a Xtransciever, a Bag, and a trendy Unovian clothes. ...That's what Unovians call their clothes, isn't it?
