I will say that the grind to the E4 is miserable compared to johto and kanto. What the fuck was wrong with the developers in making these teams? Swagger? Confuse Ray? Double Team? Ancient Power that boosts first time? Water Pulse that confuses first time? Attract? This is the absolute worst Elite Four in terms of game design. Sylveon did as best she could against the bullshittery of Sydney (thanks to Return) and Phoebe. Glacia seemed a little scary in prospect, but Darkrai easily set up on her and I was thankful that I didn't have to go up against Sheer Cold's bullshittery. Drake was easy prey to Darkrai too, though if I wasn't setting up Cosmic Powers and Calm Minds, that Shellgon was trying to waste all my Ice Beam pp with its triple Protects. They were definitely the MVP of my team. Steven was an absolute menace relying on shitty luck strats. I was trying to do a pure hardcore no healing items run, but if that bastard was gonna get ancient power omniboosts and crits, I didn't feel any remorse using hyper potions (still less than he used tbf). Goodbye Hoenn. Not looking forward to going back for Emerald, but I am up for a little Kanto break.
