You decide that you're bored with Hoenn and made arrangements to move to another region. Maybe Unova or Sinnoh. Yeah, that sounds cool. Anyway, it's moving day and you're waking to the airport or whatever the fuck, when you hear the sound of sprinting and pleads to "W-Wait!" in between horrible coughs behind you. You turn and look to see Wally running as fast as he can towards you despite his asthma. How he managed to get this far you have no idea, but you help him get his inhaler and his coughs die down. In between panting Wally stammers out "A-Anon...you're leaving? You can't just go away like this! You...you were supposed to be my rival!". You can hear him starting to choke up. "You can't...You can't just leave me like this!". After a long silence of Wally trying his hardest to hold back his sobs, he looks up into your eyes, tears streaming down his face. "Please...please don't forget me, okay? Please don't forget me!". You can see in his eyes and hear in his voice how devastated he is over your leaving, and how much more he has to say to you if he could just find his voice and the words.
