I started with OS/ Kanto on TV and was obsessed with it at 4. Then moved on to Johto, Hoenn was when I got into the games while keeping up with the anime and still being obsessed with it in early 00s, around the time I started thinking Pokemon was badass cuz it had cool legendaries. Continue into gen 4 but around that time I also got into the card game and was still obsessed with it but less so, but I remember being really hyped for HGSS games at the time and played those when they came out for a couple of years. Maybe that is why when gen 5 happened I did not care and then dropped off out of the franchise, but maybe it was because the anime did not do a good job at making me interested to begin with, or I just was too old and moved on to YuGiOh.
