Ever since I knew about about shinies in R/S I started breeding for Pichu. I can't tell you how many thousands of Pichu I've hatched over the years. Not to mention how many times I tried to chain for it.
Decided to try the pokeradar in platinum again yesterday. I was never able to get it to work back in the day, farthest I ever got was 38.
Started with the swarm pokemon of the day Farfetch'd. Finally made it to 40 and after 2 hours of resetting and 8 max repels left I got one.
Stocked up on max repels and decided to try for Pichu once again. Finally got what I deserved after all these years.

I had to stop there. I think 5 makes up 13 years of trying. But I never thought it could be so easy. Guess I'm going for Eevee's next.
