>>41991229it seems as if buizel (and maybe a couple others, not sure) were changed to the final really early on. this weird sprite changing is possibly also the reason why pokemon like skarmory, smeargle, and (as mentioned a bit back in the thread) donphan had no sprite change at all. they probably didn't like the beta ones but were running out of time so they reused the gen 3 sprite.
