>>50827468TIL, there's construction going on in an open air theater, and Latias is investigating out of curiosity and suspicion (all these workers are foreign). A worker Latias had interacted with in an earlier scene is standing atop a pillar affixing lights. Just the sight of this makes her nervous, as in the years since the 5th movie, she's grown very antsy and self conscious about being seen. Before she can leave, the stage beneath the pillar cracks and the man is put into serious danger. From there we have a crisis of confidence with Latias, unable to fulfill her duties as Guardian because of fear, disappointing herself as she realizes she would've let the worker get hurt if it wasn't for another person stepping in after this.
The issue is I just can't get to this initial set up cleanly without absolutely losing my desire to write the entire scene, because of how terrible the pacing feels. Maybe these visual rude goldberg set ups are better left to animation
