Does anyone get the feeling that GF originally planned to release LGPE for the 3DS, after ORAS to go with GO's release in 2016? The chibified artstyle and the less than subpar graphics remind me a lot of Gen 6's style. My theory is that knowing how much Gen 1 sells to the casual players, executives forced them to make LGPE into a Switch release to up the console's sales, leading them to put more effort into porting a 3DS game into the Switch than actually making it a half decent game, leading to the mess we see right now.
