His arms were wide open at first, but the stance didn't remain for long. Harvard quickly keeled over and began spitting something up. He opened his mouth to say something, but he wasn't able to get anything out of it before he became motionless and went cold.
The moment was hardly silent, however.
A discordant quack could be heard from nearby- a gasp came from the trainer situated right there.
The Magmar seemed irritated by the interruption, and reeled back once more to try again.
It was at that moment that Yale immediately charged in and set off an Earthquake.
The ground rumbled as the trio's grips were loosened. The Electabuzz keeled over and fell to the ground; the Magmar was no better off. Yale cut both mon as if to finish them off, before Columbia charged in with a Flamethrower and brought the Jynx to the floor as well.
Columbia rushed over to Harvard's corpse, only to come to the immediate realization of what it was.
A lamenting howl soon followed, just as the Growlithe began to glow and grow... and by the time it had finished, an Arcanine sat next to the body.
Everyone gathered around to come to terms with what had happened.
There wasn't a dry eye in sight for the next several hours.
