>>45373517I'm a big Sinnoh fan too but that image is pretty unfair to Johto. First off, Pryce is the shittiest gym battle in the game, so it is cherrypicking a bit. Bugsy's Scyther spamming U turn, Whitney who is already infamous in the community, and Morty's fast Gengar with Hypnosis and Shadow Ball are all very tough. Second, Platinum has one of the best main campaigns in terms of battles and would make many other games in the series look weak compared to it.
HGSS also has very good rematch battles like pic related. The image also ignores Johto's exploration, optional content, and story, which are all pretty solid.
