Here's an idea I had recently that I believe would not only please all Pokemon fans, but work as a Money-Printing machine for GameFreak:
>Pokemon EmeraldZ and PlatinumZ
>Starts off in Kalos, some time after the events of X and Y
>Standard sequel, not dissimilar to how B2/W2 was
>EXP Share is a Post-Game Item
My main idea for these games comes with the Post-Game:
>Birch/Rowan (Depending on version) arrives at the Lumiose train station looking for help, as Sinnoh and Hoenn are being attacked
>EmeraldZ has you travel to Hoenn to save the region from a Hybrid Flare/Magma Team
>Team Aqua are now good, and work with you briefly, similar to Old-Plasma in the B2/W2 sequels
>PlatinumZ has you face a Hybrid Glactic/Flare team instead, with help from Riley and the other Side Characters from Sinnoh
>Each region is full explorable, and the Gym Leaders appear and help you, but you can't challenge them.
>Shauna also appears (X/Y Post Game text referring to her leaving for a new region)
>EmeraldZ has a cameo from Emma
>PlatinumZ has based Looker instead
>Regardless of which version you play, you save the respective region and...
Oak arrives with tickets to the Sevii Islands where the new Pokemon World Tournament has just opened
The Tournament Works like it did in Gen 5, albeit with classic Frontier game-modes added
There's a new Tournament that includes Mega Pokemon. Red gets MegaZardX, Roxie gets MegaVenusaur, ect.
Would you play this?
The idea is you get two versions of the games that allow you to return to an old region, without having to devote a year marketing the remakes of a single region. This fixes the problem of Kalos's "Short Post-Game", and GameFreak have the benefit of encouraging people to buy both versions, without the risk of people thinking that they are paying too much money for games too similar.
