As of the 17th, the end of release weekend, there were only about 20 reported cases of Switches bricking that had been playing or attempting to play SwSh. Since then, 70~80 have been reported. That's roughly 10~15 a day. All of them playing SwSh.
I mean sure, the possibility exists that this is a mad fucking coincidence and that SwSh are just badly-timed, but that seems unlikely considering there aren't reports of non-SwSh games causing bricking or non-Pokemon players having dead Switches.
And that's all ignoring the dumbest argument in existence as to why this doesn't matter, which is "it's rare so who cares". If it happens to LITERALLY ONE PERSON then it needs to be addressed. As long as you can't completely disprove all of the reported cases as fake or unrelated, this will remain something that needs to be addressed publically. There is no debate in regards to this: if ONE PERSON is affected then it needs to be publicized.
