>>38914697People bitch about Mega Evolution and I get it. But at the barest minimum you have to see that it dredged some pokemon out of obscurity. There was a post somewhere that talked about how interesting some of them were. Charizard got to dip into its physical moveset with XZard. Lopunny became a fighting type that could target Ghosts. Gyarados got a flying/ dark type mix up. Beedrill was a min/maxed physical attacker.
Now should these be actual evolutions. Maybe. Should these guys be updated so they don't become wasted. Absolutely. Will that happen? Almost definitely not and that's fucking depressing because there's no set of circumstances where fucking Mawile will get the opportunity to shine ever again
