>>55905370The joke is that despite Pokemon battling being the literal biggest cultural phenomenon of the Pokemon world, there's countries/regions the world over with Pokemon League institutions that, despite their best efforts, can't fucking find trainers more qualified for a roster of athletic elites than a fucking preschooler. Either the League higherups are incompetent as fuck, and/or Pokemon battling is at heart a joke of a sport where your studies, training and other efforts mean nothing and a gifted <10yo can run circles around you.
