Cacturne seems interesting, but his defenses are a bit lacking for my tastes. Shiftry is the same way. I'd use Shiftry in a heartbeat if it had better stats and moves. He's such a cool Pokémon.

Already have a Fly-user, so I don't need a beginning bird.

Doesn't interest me.

Some other Pokémon I considered were Torkoal and Gardevoir. They're pretty good, but lacking in certain defenses.
