>>45244986People were still optimistic after XY though, we all though GF just needed time to get used to developing in 3D and it wasn’t yet apparent every future gen would revolve around a dumb new gimmick. There was a lot of bad in the games for sure but PSS was revolutionary at the time and the amount of content, while certainly a step down from BW2 wasn’t terrible compared to the first paired versions of any other generation. It wasn’t apparent how bad things really were until ORAS and when we realized we weren’t getting an improved 3rd version or sequel. When SM came out and amplified all the faults of Gen 6 plus some I knew things were over. Now in retrospect I hate gen 6 but I’d still rather be where we were in early 2013 with the franchise than where we are now...
