Halfway through the last episode, but past the part where May and Max have left. Just wanted to say how perfect I think their send off was. May's Combusken evolving into Blaziken was the perfect bookend for AG, because the think that led Ash into Hoenn in the first place was losing to Harrison's Blaziken in the Silver Conference. The tie also provided the split ribbon, which was a callback to Mean With Envy, when the clingy ass girl wanted to win a split ribbon with her boyfriend and got jealous of May. Gives a little something more to Advancedshippers, while Contestshippers have been eating good all Battle Frontier. Perfect way to give both something nice to end on. Finally, May deciding to go to Johto alone is a stark difference from when she began, and basically extorted Ash into traveling with her because of the bike. It even shows her growth from her entry into Kanto, where the first thing she did was go to Ash's house.
Overall, May's incredibly underrated compared to other Pokegirls. Well, except for the coomers. Granted, I only really have Misty and Serena to compare her to, but I'm looking forward to seeing what Dawn's like, given how much everyone seems to love her. But May is super cool. KAORI. getting sick is the worst thing to happen to the XY season.
