So basically, pokemon day is the 27th of next month, and the presents is supposed to be on the 17th.
I have expected this presents to be quite disappointing, since they intend on milking gen 9 a while longer so that the anime has time to keep going.
Pal World has put a heavy crunch pressure on TPCi like they've never seen before. Pal World's success is even greater than Yokai Watch, and TPC was so salty about Yokai Watch that they essentially copied Yokai Watch via Z-move wristlet and Mega Stone bracelet just to compete in marketability with the watch itself.
The problem is, Pal World is essentially a parody of pokemon, doing what pokemon can't do because it involves guns, direct mentions of Pals being eaten and killed by people, Pal butchering mechanics, Pals eating people, Pal and human "breeding", Pal cross-breeding, and so on. They really cannot copy any of that, because it's just not a direction they can break their established rules in.
Pal World is also a successful multiplayer game with minimal jank compared to how badly multiplayer was introduced in SV, and that honestly is one of the biggest problems Pokémon has to own up to; the nature of the current pokémon games feels too centered around loner singleplayer types in a world where multiplayer games see the most success. People enjoy playing games together and one of the biggest flaws of Pokémon had been a lack of activities for players to do together outside of trades and battles.
I honestly don't expect TPC to improve or innovate, they seem very deadset on holding a grudge and just continuing to do whatever they want to do at the cost of losing their original fanbase and newer fans altogether. The fact that the words "pal world" are filtered in Pokémon's twitch chat says plenty enough, and mods unironically ban posts that try to circumvent the filter. Pal World might actually be a real Pokémon killer, and I'm fine with that because this series has been going downhill for some time now.
