Something I hate about fakemon is that they don’t feel like any thought goes into them, but this one has some winners. (Puc attached came to mind, I like that design and typing).
The game is challenging enough without being bullshit. Plus the AI is not dumb as rocks, which is nice.
There are some cool regional forms and they also they do something similar to what SV seems to be doing, by introducing new Pokémon forms that come form another dimension. Not going to lie, a lot of them are pretty cool.
Even if you don’t care about the story, you are going to be subjected to it because sometimes characters won’t shut up.
Not all of it is bad, there’s some fun shit with it being based on the manga, and showing the time skip designs of a lot of characters, but some it does reach that edgy and referencial fangame level cringe sometimes.
Something I really liked was actually the gym leaders. You can tell a lot of love went into designing them.
I think overall, it’s a pretty cool project.
But again, it runs like dog shit.
