>>20840859Humans, having evolved alongside Pokemon, are much more durable against Pokemon attacks, as compensation for not having innate powers of their own. Taking that into consideration...
Essentially, as a Pokemon, having a trainer provides you with these things:
1. unlimited world-class healthcare
2. an unlimited supply of food and essentials
3. the opportunity to travel to various places and experience them for free, even if it's not your normal "natural habitat"
4. the power to become far, FAR stronger than any of your wild peers
5. all the care and affection you could want, unless Team <whatever> captures you or someone retarded. Mostly, trainers love their pokemon. More than 90% of them I'd say.
6. what you crave most, battle, and lots of it, without consequence, because you're going to just get healed afterwards whereas in the wild you would need long periods of time to recover from grave wounds
7. a chill hammerspace home to live in with all the amenities you could want in it when you're not outside or in battle
In exchange for having none of these great powers, opportunities, or advantages, humans make the decisions, and have the helm of technology, which can improve both human and pokemon life.
