For example going back the the floaroma town maps you see flowers all over the place. Take that as an avantage for your scene and pick types of flowers to put out. Then think what type of species like flowers and or what plants would be in a nature town. The example I made is Combee with are related to regular bees in rl that like flowers. It's all just take concepts of a town and expand on them in a descriptive way.
