Lance doesn't come help you out and crush Rocket alongside you and you don't get super special items to summon a bird god like in gen 2, you aren't given all of these amazing items and asked to stop one or two giant rampaging monsters like in gen 3, you aren't tasked with handling a madman trying to recreate the universe like in gen 4, etc. Good point, anon.
The music and art are both debatable topics, considering the fact that art and music all subjective.
