Thinking about it there are a lot of cats and dogs nearby, but they all belong to people so it's not like I could just catch those, and if pokemon became real tomorrow I'd be searching for cool ones instead of the common stuff. Also the way I'm imagining this is that all of the kinds of animals that most people would see in their everyday lives, the domesticated ones or the ones that are used to living in close proximity with people, would turn into the really common pokemon. So your mom's dog would probably turn into a lillipup instead of a houndoom, as it would be the wild and dangerous animals that would turn into the powerful and rare pokemon.
yeah, I know I'm overthinking this but that's what i do
With all that in mind I'd probably be running all over my town trying to find pokemon, but what I would most likely catch run into and catch would be:
>Swanna
Swans live right next to my house
>Tentacool
There are usually man o' wars washed up on the beach and I've been stung by them before.
>Bellossom
Lots of flowers in my area and it's been raining heavily so they'd be appearing soon.
>Noibat
Fruit bats live around me and I see them every night.
>Venipede
Millipedes are pretty much everywhere. If you stick your hand straight into dirt you're bound to get at least 6.
>Saladit
My fucking cats keep catching and eating skinks and then vomit them up. There's so god damn many of them and they never learn that they will make them sick. So it would be easy for me to catch one of them. idk if I'd have a male or a female one since I'm not a coomer but I'd like to be able to evolve my pokemon, guess it would just depend of if I could figure out the gender of one before I catch it
