>you live in broke-ass Slumville>you take on the League in order to make money towards improving your town>as you climb up in the ranks your town visibly grows and improves as well>eventually you discover that the League is an "inner circle", and they aren't happy about an altruist invading their circle>at one point in the story your rival tells you that he begrudgingly accepted a bribe in order to pay for a family member's operation, and gives you the leftover money to help out rebuild something in the town>the League catches wind of this and twists the story into you convincing your rival to take a bribe to use on frivolities>they drag both your and your hometown's name through the mud>you continue to take on the League despite being booed and hissed at by the crowd, your goal now being to expose them for the clique of aristocrats they really are and ensure that any money made from the League goes towards benefiting the region instead of lining the pockets of the eliteIn an attempt to trip you up at every turn members of the League will throw in random events mid-battle that will only benefit them. That way monotype battles can still be interesting.
