Mostly just here to rate, and try to keep the thread alive. Love these things.
>>35872322My favorite iteration is still probably the ranger one you had, but this might be the best from a more objective standpoint. The concept is more concise, and the goal is fitting and obtainable. As far as the team goes, I agree, it's a bit much, but there's nothing TOO egregious. The things that stand out the most, as far as rarity and power go, are Volcarona, Garchomp, and Togetic. Scaling those back in level/evolution might help. Honestly, the Pokemon you have in your reserves make for a much more interesting and engaging team. They're not standard competitive fare, and have much more personality.
>>35873224I don't think the ride transport works outside of Alola, given the in-universe explanation is that the native Pokemon are just friendly and give you a hand. It's a cultural thing, not something that necessarily works elsewhere. You'd be better off, thematically, with an old pick-up truck. Being "disappointed" with your starter seems kind of mean? Even if it's not that great, it's still your first Pokemon, y'know? And, where is it, even. Did she release her Raticate? That's a little fucked. It tried its best man. The Battle Phrase comes off as a little, I don't know, forced. Aside from that, the Pokemon names and aesthetic are at odds. The French/Kalosian names sound far too fancy for a country bumpkin, even if she does "read a lot." Still, it's a neat concept, overall, Eevee breeding. I always thought it was a lucrative business idea in the Pokemon world, given how popular and rare the species is. A good concept, but rough around the edges.
