If you would like my honest opinion,
and too bad, I'm going to give it to you whether you like it or not I think you've got a good premise, but the hook needs a little fleshing out. How does this particular story differ from the tried and tested trope of establishing a gender identity? For instance, do Florges have some sort of ritual that make binary genders important in some way?
