>>44337255I'm not even convinced anything did go wrong. I think early access is largely to blame. I've never played the game, but as I understand it, it isn't even halfway done. The level cap is like 58 right now, after just being extended a few weeks ago, half the islands in the game aren't playable right now and I believe less than half of the final dex is even included in the game as of right now.
Deeming the game either great or shitty at this current junction is definitely jumping the gun, which is why I haven't bought or played the game yet, though I still plan to do so in a year and a half or whatever when I can have a fully completed product to judge.
