The dub had ask Japan to edit out her apron to avoid the "mammy stereotype" where heavy set black women down south were basically maids or cleaners who rich white folk paid to take care of their house.
GameFreak seemed to have learned from this because the next two main black women they designed, which of course were Olivia in SM and Nessa in XY, didn't have any of these racist undertones and were designed to be hot pieces of ass.
