Doesn’t look too bad so far. The world’s bigger and there’s a bit more stuff in it than Arceus, so that’s a positive. Pokémon travel in packs again so that’s nice too. I’ll always wish for more of an “ecosystem” between Pokémon (ie: have them randomly battling, interacting with nature, having unique patterns of behavior), but I don’t think that’s ever gonna happen.

I guess here’s to hoping not all the female characters are made with western sensitivity in mind. If they aren’t then I’ll be happy enough with it.

I think it more or less looks like what Sw/Sh should have been… but with much worse gimmicks.

At first I thought I was just being negative, but then I watched the first level of the original game and the difference was night and day:
>in the original Pokémon actually made noises, in New they barely make their in game sounds
>in the original almost every Pokémon in the first level was doing a unique animation or scenario, in New they just sort of walked around slowly
>due to those unique animations Pokémon in the original could actually be hard to get a picture of, in New everything is just moving at a snails pace
>in the original Pokémon in the levels had a sense of “place”, in the New one they just seem randomly thrown in the level to walk around

I’m hoping the people that played the first level just did a bad job at showing it off, or maybe the real “meat” of that level is on a different path, because where as I was entertained watching the first level of the original Snap play out, the New Snap’s first level was fairly boring. Hope I’m not just being negative...
