>>43193633It doesn't require it, but Chimecho and Kricketune aren't suddenly going to get Prankster and Spore, so giving them a different type to make them stronger in lower tiers is fine as it is. Chimecho, barring something retarded like Prankster and Spore, will never see the light of OU, but you can make it a decent special wall in NU by giving it a good secondary typing.

>b-b-but they were!Not top of OU for 3 generations running good. Clefable has been around since Gen 1 and never ONCE got to OU for 5 generations in a row. Suddenly Fairy type and it went from decent RU Pokemon to #1 OU Pokemon that's been ruining the game.
