He's not a mega cocky prick like Blue or an edgy punk like Silver but yet he's not super friendly like Brendan/May, Wally, Hugh, Calem/Serena and Hau. Barry is like in that perfect sweetspot right in the middle in terms of personality. He's high energy and competitive, manages to get 8 badges before you, uses a meta team and doesn't hold back. Yet he can also be a bro like when he helps you against Team Galactic. It's like a Ryu/Ken thing going on. A true rivalry.
Rivals don't need to be dicks but not pushovers either.
