And I agree, I miss Sugimori's water colour style from Gen 1, and I miss all of the pokemon being mysterious dangerous monsters. Now they are kinda cuddly and non threatening,

The feel of the artwork, and the design of new pokemon has changed since Gen 1, and I think that is the real problem.
I know that personally, there are a few designers that I want to kick in the fucking knee. Cause some of the new pokemon post Gen 2 just look fucking terrible, as in, they shouldn't even be in pokemon.
Like, seriously, whats up with all of the pokemon that look like they were made by the dude that does astro boy?
