Gen I - Great gen for nostalgia purposes. Other than that, its not that great.
Gen II - Read gen I.
Gen III - Has aged very well, great gen overall.
Gen IV - Probably the worst gen, too many flaws and not enough good pokemon.
Gen V - Best gen, lots of great new pokes. Although not appreciated because its the newest.
