Kukui should have been put on the same pedestal as other champions. It feels awkward that when talking about the champion of each region, Alola just gets glossed over. They should have used USUM to solidify him as the de facto champion, with SM just being the more earnest and humble Kukui who just wanted to put the system together. He also would've been a good match with Kommo-o as his boss mon slot since its Fighting attribute goes well with his focus on physicality and combat.
