>What elements would you bring back?- Diving from Gen III: You can explore the seafloor for a limited time while your Pokémon tries its best to keep you with air.
- Seasons from Gen V: Implemented as a way to change Pokémon distribution around the region and see the cities covered in snow or rain.
- Sneaking from Gen VI: But improved.
- Soaring from Gen VI: Depending on the stamina of your Pokémon, you can use it as a flying mount. If its stamina runs out, it will descend.
- Mounts from Gen VII: You can rent ridable Pokémon in certain places, granting the possibility to beat the game without any rideable Pokémon in your team.
>What new elements would you introduce?Besides Authority and real time wild battles, I'd introduce some kind to level up your trainer. By partaking in wild and trainer battles you can earn points to level up your skills, such as strength, dexterity, resilence and stamina; useful even to unlock some parts of the open world.
>What would you base the region on? How would you structure said region?I think a mountainous region would be perfect for such game, such as the Russian Urals, Swiss Alps or Southern Andes; structured with many fjords and lakes, so you can even discover coastal cities by accident.
>Insert any other ideas you haveNo longer locate Pokémon in high grass, they can spawn in flocks and herds and interact with both the environment and each other, so you can also experiment the game while watching, for example, a Seviper and Zangooze fighting for territory, an Audino appearing out of the blue to cure a hurt, wild Pokémon or even an Aggron planting trees.
Also, other idea is making legendary Pokémon battles feel like boss battles, requiring you to make strategies to chase them off, weakening and then capturing them.
