Glimmora is named Selene after the Amazon Moonflower. I thought it was a very fitting name given Glimmora being basically a flower-like Pokemon that predominately lives in dark areas.
Basil is named after the herb. Not to mention, I kinda had the mental image of Basil from the Great Mouse Detective.
Piper is named after a spice plant called the pepper vine. I had chosen this name back when it was a Charcadet and the coloring of the flower of a Piper plant fit with it back then. I still enjoy the name regardless.
Anise is after the spice star anise. This makes me think of licorice and the black coloring of Corviknight fits well with that.
Valerian is named after a medicinal plant. I wanted a plant that fits the theme of a sedative that would work for Slowking and his easy going attitude.
Cassia is named after Chinese Cinnamon, and I thought that would be a great name for a dragon type Pokemon.
