Originally the ferroseed line was found in caves and it was implied through ferrothorn's animation that it hung from the ceiling. When they switched to models they changed it to having it on the floor, yet it could still be found in caves in gen 6. Gen 6 even had a fall from the ceiling mechanic to encounter pokemon and ferrothorn could've easily been included in this, but was never done. In gen 8, they dropped this and he's just found in grassy plains. Interesting, they put Ferroseed in a cave in the dlc.
