That said, Sakurai's fanservice is undoubtedly going to keep the FRLG design very much alive in the public conscious, hence newer merch such as these Bandai figures using the FRLG design rather than an attempt to drop it and switch to the Let's Go version of the character. It's like evergreen life insurance. So long as Leaf is still in Smash, the design is still relevant and recognizable.
