I was bored with my Sapphire game and didn't give Emerald a shot. Although I loved Colosseum, XD, and Leaf Green, even then I was kind of a casual Pokemon player.
Gen IV was what really got me to love Pokemon as much as I did in the Gen I and II days again, the addition of online play and transferring Pokemon from your old games to the new ones.
>Too many legendariesPersonally, I loved the lore they gave the series by this point. A creator god with lower ranking gods governing different aspects of the universe and human nature.
>Too many old Pokemon evolutions(Rhyperior, Elecivire, etc.)So what? They were a great way to update old Pokemon for the Newer games with all the shit they added like Natures, EVs, and IVs.
Although Munchlax felt a tad bit pointless I'll give you that.
Maybe one of these days I'll download an Emerald ROM and give it a shot to see what I missed.
