Okay guys here me out. I have a theory for what Grookey will evolve into. I think Grookey's evolution line will be based on monkeys evolving into early man like creatures.

Also, I know Grookey has a cricket theme and the stick is part of that. A pokemon can have elements of more than one thing in its design.
