>Good (Put in Gen 8)
Overworld Battles: Most RPGs have moved away from random ambush encounters, because they're genuinely unfun relics from games 20 years ago. Pokemon is one of the last games to try it out, and it works well. It makes the world feel lively, and it's less tedious to have to grind menus for that last mon you need.
Partner Pokemon: Needs a little work, but it was cute interacting with Eevee. It gave me a lot of smiles. Rolling stuff like Item Finder into the Partner system is also good. I would be perfectly fine with the Partner System (giving you unique moves and perfected IVs, at the expense of not being able to be traded/fully evolved) being the next Mega/Z-Power.
HD A/V: Say what you want about the art style, it's an overall improvement and it was nice to see the game not only in updated graphics (and in 720p instead of potato size) but to have the musical score redone. We can only hope that Gen 8 has had time to further improve on this.
>Bad
KANTOOO: 151 is a shitty limitation in this day and age, considering people have a lot of favorite Pokemon in other gens. I'm not sure why this was marketed as a GOtard concession, seeing as how they have several gens on the app now. It's also the third or fourth time we've gone through Kanto. Let it die now please. Unless we do the manga storyline.
Cutting Content: I hope it was just a simpler version to draw in GOtards, but removing abilities, Z-powers, and stuff like that is not good as a long-term game decision.
GO Catch Mechanics: Relying solely on luck and flicking a ball is stupid and not what Pokemon is. You need to be able to battle the wild Pokemon, and again, I hope it was just a GOtard gimmick.
>Ugly
Difficulty: This game was retardedly easy. It was hardly a challenge doing a solo Partner-only run. Don't go in expecting much of anything, especially if you're coming off a Drayano/Dio Vento romhack.
Rival: He makes Hau look aggressive. Big yikes.
