But now we have Kanto mons used to build new Pokemon. Meltan is pretty much Ditto anew
But wait its not the only time they did this: Mimikyu. Its based on Pikachu but its a new mon (and not just Pikachu clone which we got each gen) but a Pokemon that references Pikachu. And it was very popular.
Is that why we get Ditto-like mon now? Is that what gen 8 "gimmick" will be? Kanto Pokemon body parts used as base for new Pokemon?
