A PokeGoddess does not allow you to merely pick her. She is far more aware of the situation than you understand. When a PokeGoddess finds a suitable target, there is no sudden semblance of democracy. There is no grace period. You just belong to her now. You have become her property and hers alone. Before you even realize it, she has wordlessly and effortlessly subjugated you in every imaginable aspect. She is very smart about her choices too, as she is instantly able to know that you are prepared to wholly submit to her. It is a marvel to behold. In all of the animal kingdom there has never been a predator/prey dynamic quite as one-sided as this one. Normally prey would at least make an attempt to escape with their lives, but in this case they don't hesitate to surrender to their new master with an eagerness to please.
